Gary Pettit, FABRP

Gary is both a licensed insolvency practitioner and CEDR accredited mediator and in January 2014 he acquired (what is now) PBC Business Recovery and Insolvency.

He has been a member of Council at The Association of Business Recovery Professionals, which included contributing to the consultation for the Enterprise Bill.  He has also been advisor to various Government departments and party to consultations for key areas, including football governance and the review on Corporate Governance, which started rolling out with the Corporate Insolvency & Governance Act 2020 and subsequently, the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.

Gary marked his 35th year in the insolvency industry on 6 March 2024 and in a recent High Court hearing, the presiding insolvency judge informed the other party they should heed Gary’s view because he is one of the most experienced insolvency practitioners in the Country.

On the recommendation of a (then) Queens Council Gary obtained his accreditation as a mediator and now facilitates settlements of corporate and insolvency-related disputes.

In the (little) spare time he has Gary enjoys all sport, particularly rugby, golf and snooker. He is also a co-opted member of a tail-gating group supporting Minnesota Vikings American Football Team. His claims to sporting fame include missing the final black to beat Steve Davies and “Trying” to stop former England rugby star, Wade Dooley who goose-stepped rapidly towards a terrified full back!

Ian Cooke

I fell into the world of business recovery and insolvency (as do most). My first job was with the Insolvency Service having had my first child at 18 (not planned) and needed a secure job.  My wife and I now have 3 children and 1 grandchild having been together for 32 years.

After 7 years at the Insolvency Service, I decided to move into private practice in Northampton and I provide advice in respect of all insolvency options available whether it be corporate or personal. Once described as having “the common touch” (I had to google this term, having thought it was bad!) I strive to ease clients concerns regarding their financial future by providing all options available in a straightforward, jargon free and easy to understand manner. It is paramount to me that clients feel that they have been listened to and the correct advice is provided, and this advice will always be the right advice for the client.

Away from the office, being far too old to play football any longer, I try (with the emphasis on try) to play golf and snooker when time allows.

Nick Bonser

I joined PBC in January 2019 following a long career in Banking. It was great to have a new challenge and one that I relished. My role as Director is to make sure the staff are happy, the bills are paid and generally making sure the business is run efficiently. Not always an easy task.

Outside of work I enjoy sports. These days I only play golf but enjoy watching football and cricket. I grew up playing cricket and enjoyed some success. I often miss bowling on those sunny Saturday afternoons, but the knees said no!

I am hoping to travel more now that the kids are grown up. There is so much of the UK and the world yet to be explored.

Natasha Pink

I joined the firm in 2004 initially as a junior and worked my way through the ranks to Insolvency Manager.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, watching football (whether it be Arsenal or my nephew’s Saturday league game) and keeping fit.

  • AAT fully qualified
  • CPI qualified

Claire Goodacre

I started working in Insolvency in 2005 and have worked with a number of different insolvency practitioners over the years which has taught me a lot, with each one offering different insights into the role. I have a proactive approach to work with the foresight to see issues before they occur and implement effective countermeasures. At the same time taking a commercial approach when making decisions or recommendations.

In my spare time you will generally find me looking after my two beautiful girls, this includes standing at the side of a football pitch every weekend, supporting my eldest daughter.

When the opportunity arises, I love watching live music and keeping fit.

  • CPI qualified

Nicole Anderson

I joined in 2013 back when we were Marshman Price as an Office Junior and I am now Senior Case Administrator. I have completed AAT level 3 and completed CPI qualification in August 2023. With both of my children being under 5, my spare time is usually spent exploring the outdoors and jumping in muddy puddles, soft play or preventing colossal meltdowns over very minor events!

Jenny Gent

I have worked at PBC since leaving school in 2005, starting at Price & Co as it was then, as an Office Junior. I studied towards my AAT whilst working and fully qualified in 2010. I had a small career break when I went travelling, which took me to see South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I love to explore new countries and experiencing different cultures. Although since having my two daughters I have loved discovering new places in the UK to visit. I am now a Senior Case Administrator and deal with all types of insolvency procedures.

Grace Carter-Hands

Hi, I’m Grace, and I joined the company in September 2021.

I started as an office administrator but have progressed to a case administrator, which sees me closing cases.

Outside of work I enjoy cooking and nurturing my house plants.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
  • Working towards my Level 3 AAT

Marli Garratt

I’m Marli I joined the company in October 2022.

I like to go out and socialise. In my job role I have started as a trainee case administrator and will eventually work up to a Case administrator.

Currently I am working towards my Business Administration apprenticeship.

Lisa Parker

Hi, I’m Lisa, and I’ve been with the company since 2005.  I’ve seen many changes over the years!

When you call PBC, my voice will usually be the first one you hear, and the marketing side of my job sees me organising people and events.

Outside of work I love the great outdoors, walking and camping with Reggie and Stanley my Labradors.  I have also backpacked many long distance paths.

Liv Chamberlin

Hi, I’m Liv, and I joined the company in September 2023.

I am currently training as a Junior Case Administrator but have always had a wider interest in business studies generally, specifically in finance and digital marketing.

Outside of work I love going out with friends and family. I enjoy long countryside walks with my black Labrador, George, as well as keeping fit.
